Turn online ordering on or off
Enable customers to order online, and find the finer controls for collection, delivery and payment.
Online ordering is controlled by a single master switch in your settings.
Switch it on
- In the sidebar, open Settings → General.
- On the General tab, find Online Ordering — “Allow customers to place orders online.”
- Turn it on and Save.
(The Reservations toggle sits right next to it, for taking bookings online.)
If online ordering is off, the Orders page shows a banner reminding you to enable it in location settings before you can receive orders.
Finer controls
The master switch turns ordering on or off. The more detailed order settings — allowing Collection and Delivery, payment methods, preorders, and service charges — live separately under Settings → Orders.
You also decide, per item, whether it’s offered for collection and delivery — see Mark an item in or out of stock.
Note: These settings apply to the currently selected location. Switch location in the sidebar first if you run more than one site.
