Welcome to Dinerly
A quick tour of Dinerly and where to go next to get your restaurant up and running.
Welcome to Dinerly. It is the system you will use to run your menu, your orders, your bookings and your payments, all from the same place, so that you do not have to keep separate tools talking to each other.
This help centre takes you from your very first login through to the things you will end up doing every day. If you have only just been given your account, this is the right page to start on.
What you can do with Dinerly
- Build your menu. You create categories such as Starters or Drinks, add your dishes to them, and then add the choices and sizes that go with each dish, so that what a customer sees online is exactly what you serve.
- Take orders. You can ring orders up yourself on the till in the restaurant, and customers can place their own orders online for delivery or collection. Both kinds of order end up in the same list, so nothing gets missed.
- Get paid. You can take card and cash payments, print or email receipts, issue refunds when something goes wrong, and follow the money from online payments as it reaches your bank account.
- Manage your team. Everybody who works with you signs in as themselves, and you control which parts of Dinerly each person can open.
Your first 15 minutes
- Set up your location and hours. Under Settings, enter your address and contact details and tell Dinerly when you are open. Almost everything else depends on this, because your hours decide when customers are allowed to order and book.
- Build your menu. From the Menu page, add a few categories and then some items inside them. You do not need the whole menu on day one; start with one section and get a feel for how it works.
- Turn on online ordering once your menu looks the way you want customers to see it.
You can change anything later. Nothing you set up now is permanent, and nothing you try out here will break anything, so please do explore. If a setting turns out to be wrong, you simply go back in and change it.
