Menu management

Add and edit a menu item

Create a new item, set its price and photo, place it in a menu and category, and control how it can be ordered.

Menu items are the things customers order. Every item is placed in a menu and a category, so make sure you have at least one of each before you start (see Create and manage categories).

Add an item

  1. In the sidebar, open Menu. This is the Menu Manager, with tabs across the top: Items, Menu, Modifiers, Variants, Groups.
  2. Click Create (top right) and choose New Item.
  3. On the New Menu Item form, fill in:
    • Placement — pick the Menu, then the Category it belongs to.
    • Name — e.g. Margherita Pizza.
    • Description — a short line customers will see (optional).
    • Base price.
    • Photo — drag an image onto Add a photo (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 10 MB).
  4. Set Availability at the bottom (see Item availability).
  5. Click Create Item.

You can also add modifiers (add-ons) and variants (sizes) to an item — see Add modifiers and Set up variants.

Edit an item

  1. Go to Menu → Items and click the item’s row.
  2. Make your changes on the Edit Menu Item form.
  3. Click Save Changes. (The button only becomes active once you’ve changed something.)

Change several items at once

On the Items tab, tick the checkbox on multiple rows to reveal the bulk bar: Change category, Change price, Add modifiers, Remove modifiers, and Delete selected.

Note: Menus and items belong to the currently selected location. Switch location using the switcher at the top of the sidebar before editing.
